Month: April 2013

My day of feeling special :-)

My birthday … I love this day … I’ve always felt so special on my birthday even if I’ve been working.  I think 14 April sounds like a special date … don’t you?

Every year I think this is my favourite birthday but this one definitely beats them all … I’ve had the privilege of spending time this weekend with some of the people that I love the most and I’ve been totally spoiled by my four lovely boys. Lots of balloons and banners and “SURPRISE” shouted for me (at 7 this morning) … lots of presents … lots of cuddles and kisses … a smashing roast chicken dinner … lazy afternoon … birthday tea … cake with candles (not 43 though … that’d be a fire hazard). What a totally brilliant end to the Easter holidays 🙂

And to celebrate … here’s a selection of my favourite photos from the day:

Sorry Mum!

1am this morning … can you class that morning … REALLY???

Son No3 (bleary-eyed and a bit teary): I’m sorry. I am. I’m so sorry
Me (scooping him up … I love that I still can): It’s OK, what are you sorry for?
Son No3: mumble, mumble … punched … mumble, mumble … Sonic …
Me: Do you think you were dreaming?
Son No3: Oh yes, probably. Night then.

The End!

Still plodding on!

Pfft!  I’m not doing well at this blogging lark.  I’ve a tendency to use Facebook to note funny wee things that the boys say but I need to get out of the habit and post here more!

We’ve had a good couple of months.  Things settled down after a pretty rocky start to 2013 and I’m very thankful!

The boys continue to make me smile and make me cry from time to time – I love them so unbelievably much and, although at times I feel totally overwhelmed, I love spending time with them.  We are just ending the Easter holidays – back to school in two days 😦  Mr GG has been on holiday this week … lots of fun family time 🙂  We had a trip to Auchengarrich earlier in the week – what a fab place … lots of fun for the boys 🙂
